What does gratitude mean to you? How has it impacted your life? Are you always grateful or are you grateful only when things are going your way?
Over the course of 39 years, I have been given more reasons to quit and give up than I have to get back up and try again. No matter how dark of a place I was in, and how impossible the odds, there has always been a light that found its way through the darkest corners of hell for me to see.
That light, His light, is what has empowered me to discover gratitude in my lives most painful moments.
I have been set free from my darkness, only for it to sneak up on me again during what was supposed to be one of the best times of my life. This month-long experience led me to come to a truth that I can no longer run from the monster I fear the most. Now is the time to embrace my darkness and bring it into the light for all to see in hopes of empowering others to do the same.
Gratitude doesn’t have to be pretty or even neat especially when one is thankful for their monsters.
How do you like your gratitude served?
I like mine UnFiltered.
